This is the first in a series of 3. The second is the Mists of Ravenwood and the rd is ‘the shadow of karkhala’. The graphics are irritatingly unclear because since then graphics have improved, but you don’t have to stick with it. I played part 3 first and missed nothing.

This was a really fun game but not without some annoyances in the HO scenes. Firstly some of the HO scenes have seriously washed out colour which is straining on the eyes. Some of the HOs were so faint as to be almost invisible. Many objects were called by different names which is understandable as this is american-english so some players may have to google some words to see what they are referring to( ie ‘Range’ is a bamboo fan, but couldn’t find that on google). Watch out for Spectre in one of the last HO scenes, they mean Sceptre.
The end felt very rushed once your character decides to go after the suspect with HO scenes cropping up everywhere to give you the last several required items.
Apart from this the game was very enjoyable, lasted a good amount of time and many of the puzzles were a moderate challenge. Would recommend this to others.
Have read that this game requires online registration before loading. This isn’t true, if you don’t want to register just turn your wifi off and let it try. When the box pops up that telling you it can’t register simply fill in your name and click no.. the game will load without registering.

Quite a long H.O. game with an interesting story line. Puzzles are a little on the easy side but overall an enjoyable game.
The collectors edition additional gameplay gives a background to the story. Have played many H.O. games and this is one of the better ones. Word of warning – you cannot load this game until you have registered it online.

Quite complicated storyline which was perhaps made more complicated by the evidence board. At first I couldn’t quite make out what the evidence boarded added to the game. Some of the games were quite challenging but that is good as the game is aimed at adults. Quite a bit of having to go backwards and forwards between screens, but the help button was very useful to point you in the write direction. However, overall a very enjoyable and challenging game for adults.

Although a good game I couldn’t get further than Chapter 3 – no idea why. Very disappointing. Also the installation meant I got a toolbar I didn’t want. I got rid of it OK but not sure I’d buy GSP again.

Played great, fun game play and intriguing story. I’ve now just finished the trilogy and enjoyed each one. 🙂 definitely recommend!
